Hi everyone, I made a quick trip to Dubai over the weekend. I think if more American's visited
Dubai, we would have a different perception of the Middle East. While it is very expensive to visit, it is a very progressive city. This is certainly true when it comes to building structures. I stayed in the hotel with the purple lights. Out the window I could see the "palm" man-made island development. The large hotel in the photo is called Alantis.
The landmark hotel is Burj Al Arab, or the sail hotel. You can barely see it in the distance in the center of the photo below. My recommendation is to add Dubai to your list of places to see.
