Date: Jan 13, 2008 Subject: President enjoys his visit to Navy base in Bahrain Hi Molly,

I met President Bush and Secretary Rice today. I do not have any photos yet but the white house has posted some pics from this morning. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2008/01/images/20080113-1_d-0061-5-515h.html The President was only on the base for a little over an hour. I was one of four official greeters prior to breakfast. Admirals Cosgriff, Swift and Commodore Winstanley shook hands with the official party once they arrived on base. We immediately went into the multi-purpose room and had breakfast. President went to line with press and had photo opportunity with Sailors. He quickly ate his breakfast and made a quick presentation. He told us to make sure we thanked our love ones at home for the sacrifices you are making to let us serve overseas. He understands the impact to families and made this point more than once. Please accept his thanks. After his remarks he spent time shaking hands and having photos taken with the folks that were lucky enough to attend the breakfast. The picture from the link above almost had me in the picture. I am one more person to the left facing the camera next to the female LT on the lower left. I was one of the honorees so the table I sat at only had me. I gave the President one of my coins and Mr. Bolton my business card. I will send photos from the event once I get copies. I love you and wish you could have been here. Love, JC
